মুরাদ হাসান একজন বাংলাদেশী রাজনীতিবিদ এবং এমপি। তিনি স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয় এবং তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রণালয়ের সাবেক প্রতিমন্ত্রী। তিনি নবম ও একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের প্রার্থী হিসেবে জামালপুর-৪ আসন থেকে সংসদ সদস্য নির্বাচিত হন। 2016 মন্ত্রিসভায়, তিনি স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ প্রতিমন্ত্রী হিসাবে নিযুক্ত হন। এরপর তিনি 19 মে 2019 থেকে 6 ডিসেম্বর 2021 পর্যন্ত তথ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ে প্রতিমন্ত্রী হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন।
জীবনের প্রথমার্ধ
তিনি ১৯৮৪ সালের ১০ অক্টোবর জামালপুর জেলার সরিষাবাড়ী উপজেলার দৌলতপুর গ্রামে এক মুসলিম পরিবারে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। পিতার নাম মতিয়ার রহমান তালুকদার, মাতা: মনোয়ারা বেগম।
শিক্ষা
জামালপুরের কিসলে আদর্শ বিদ্যা নিকেতনে তার প্রাথমিক শিক্ষা শুরু হয়। তিনি জামালপুর জিলা স্কুল থেকে ১৯৯০ সালে এসএসসি, ১৯৯৩ সালে নটরডেম কলেজ থেকে এইচএসসি এবং ২০০০ সালে ময়মনসিংহ মেডিকেল কলেজ থেকে এমবিবিএস পাস করেন। তিনি 2004-2005 সালে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ থেকে প্লাস্টিক এবং রিকনস্ট্রাকটিভ সার্জারিতে স্নাতকোত্তর প্রশিক্ষণ এবং 2011 সালে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বিএসএমএমইউ) থেকে রেডিয়েশন অনকোলজিতে এমএ করেন। ফিল ডিগ্রি অর্জন করেন। তিনি বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অনকোলজি বিভাগে পরামর্শক হিসেবে কর্মরত আছেন।
রাজনৈতিক জীবন
নবম ও একাদশ জাতীয় সংসদ নির্বাচনে তিনি সংসদ সদস্য নির্বাচিত হন। তিনি স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির সদস্য ছিলেন। এছাড়াও তিনি স্বাধীনতা চিকিৎসা পরিষদ (স্বাচিপ) এবং একাত্তর ঘটক-দালাল নির্মূল কমিটির কেন্দ্রীয় সদস্য। তিনি স্বাধীনতা চিকিৎসা পরিষদ (স্বাচিপ) এবং বাংলাদেশ মেডিকেল অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের (বিএমএ) আজীবন সদস্য।
পারিবারিক জীবন
তার পিতা অ্যাডভোকেট মতিয়ার রহমান তালুকদার ছিলেন মুক্তিযুদ্ধের সংগঠক, মুজিবনগর সরকারের অস্থায়ী বিচারক এবং জেলা আওয়ামী লীগ ও জেলা আইনজীবী সমিতির সাবেক সভাপতি। ব্যক্তিগত জীবনে এক মেয়ে ও এক ছেলের জনক। তার স্ত্রী ডাঃ জাহানারা এহসানও পেশায় একজন চিকিৎসক।
সমালোচনা
2021 সালের অক্টোবরে একটি বক্তৃতায়, মুরাদ হাসান বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান সংবিধান নিয়ে সন্দেহ প্রকাশ করেছিলেন।
তার ব্যক্তিগত বক্তব্যে তিনি সংবিধান থেকে রাষ্ট্রধর্ম ইসলাম অপসারণ এবং 1972 সালের সংবিধান পুনরুদ্ধারের জন্য 15 তম সংশোধনী বাতিল করার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেন।
কিন্তু বাংলাদেশের বর্তমান সংবিধানে ধর্মনিরপেক্ষতার কথা বলা এবং সব ধর্মকে সমান মর্যাদা দেওয়ায় তার প্রস্তাবটি ইন্টারনেট জগতে ব্যাপক সমালোচিত হয়েছে।
গত ১ ডিসেম্বর রাতে একটি ফেসবুক লাইভে যোগ দেন মুরাদ হাসান। লাইভের একপর্যায়ে তিনি বিএনপির সিনিয়র ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমান ও তার মেয়ে জাইমা রহমানকে নিয়ে নানা অশালীন মন্তব্য করেন।
তিনি জাইমা রহমান লুইচ্চাকে ডেকে বলেন, তিনি প্রতি রাতে একজন কালো মানুষের সাথে না ঘুমিয়ে ঘুমাতে পারেন না।
এমতাবস্থায় তার পদত্যাগ দাবি করে বিএনপি। তবে তিনি বিবিসিকে বলেছেন, এ ধরনের বিবৃতি দিতে তিনি কোনো ভুল করেননি। তিনি এগুলো প্রত্যাহার করবেন না বা প্রত্যাহারের জন্য সরকার ও দলের কোনো চাপ নেই।
6 ডিসেম্বর, 2021, চিত্র নায়ক মামনুন হাসান ইমন এবং নায়ক মাহিয়া মাহির মধ্যে একটি ফোনালাপ সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে ভাইরাল হয়।
যেখানে সে মাহিয়া মাহিকে অশ্লীল কথা বলে তার কাছে যেতে বলে। কথোপকথনে তথ্য প্রতিমন্ত্রী মাহিকে ধর্ষণ ও আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর সহায়তায় আনার হুমকি দেন।
পুরো বক্তৃতায় কিছু ‘অশ্রাব্য’ শব্দ উচ্চারিত হয়। বিষয়টি নিয়ে দেশজুড়ে সমালোচনার ঝড় উঠেছে।
তিনি 6 ডিসেম্বর, 2021-এ ইমেলের মাধ্যমে তার পদত্যাগপত্র পাঠিয়েছিলেন, কিন্তু তার পদত্যাগের জন্য “ব্যক্তিগত কারণ” উল্লেখ করেছেন।
প্রতিমন্ত্রীর পদ ও জামালপুর জেলা আওয়ামী লীগের কমিটির সদস্য থেকে অব্যাহতি পেয়েছেন।

Murad Hasan
Murad Hasan is a Bangladeshi politician and MP. He is a former Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
He was elected Member of Parliament from Jamalpur-4 constituency as a candidate of Bangladesh Awami League in the Ninth and Eleventh Parliamentary Elections.
In the 2016 cabinet, he was appointed as the state minister for health and family welfare.
He then served as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Information from 19 May 2019 to 6 December 2021.
Early life
He was born on 10 October 1984 in Daulatpur village under Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur district to a Muslim family. Father’s name is Matiar Rahman Talukder, Mother: Monowara Begum.
Education
He started his primary education at Kislay Adarsh Vidya Niketan in Jamalpur. He passed SSC from Jamalpur Zilla School in 1990, HSC from Notre Dame College in 1993 and MBBS from Mymensingh Medical College in 2000.
He completed his postgraduate training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Dhaka Medical College in 2004-2005 and his M.A. in Radiation Oncology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in 2011. Phil holds a degree.
He is working as a Consultant in the Department of Oncology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Political life
He was elected Member of Parliament in the Ninth and Eleventh National Assembly elections. He was a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. He is also a central member of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) and Ekattar Ghatak-Dalal Nirmul Committee. He is a life member of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (Swachip) and Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
Family life
His father, Advocate Matiar Rahman Talukder, was an organizer of the Liberation War, a temporary judge of the Mujibnagar government and a former president of the District Awami League and District Bar Association. Father of one daughter and one son in private life. His wife Dr. Jahanara Ehsan is also a doctor by profession.
Criticism
In a speech in October 2021, Murad Hasan expressed doubts about the current constitution of Bangladesh.
In his personal remarks, he expressed his desire to remove the state religion Islam from the constitution and repeal the 15th amendment to restore the 1972 constitution.
But his proposal has been widely criticized in the internet world as the current constitution of Bangladesh mentions secularism and gives equal status to all religions.
On the night of December 1, Murad Hasan joined a Facebook Live. At one stage of the live, he made various indecent remarks about BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman and his daughter Jaima Rahman.
He called Jaima Rahman Luichcha and said, “She can’t sleep without sleeping with a black man every night.”
In this case, the BNP demanded his resignation. However, he told the BBC he had made no mistake in making such statements. He will not withdraw these or there is no pressure from the government and the party to withdraw.
On December 6, 2021, a phone conversation between Chitra Nayak Mamnoon Hasan Emon and Nayak Mahiya Mahi went viral through social media. Where he spoke obscenely to Mahiya Mahi and told her to go to him.
In the conversation, the state minister of information threatened to rape Mahi and bring her to the aid of law enforcement. Throughout the speech some words ‘inaudible’ are uttered. The issue has sparked criticism across the country.
He sent his resignation letter via email on December 6, 2021, but cited “personal reasons” for his resignation.
He was relieved of the post of state minister and committee member of Jamalpur district Awami League.
